POSITION SUMMARY:
This role actively supports the mission of the Y, a leading non-profit dedicated to community enrichment through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. As an Administrative Assistant within the Business Office, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with billing, collections, and financial assistance programs for all Y programs. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Data Entry – Entering financial data into operational software, ensuring records are up-to-date and accurate.
- Accounts Receivable – Processing invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Customer Service– Assisting members and customers with queries regarding billing, financial assistance and more.
- Administrative Support – Undertake general tasks with the finance department or independently, including registrations for Y programs, creating reports to share data, and processing Vermont state subsidy payments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with the maintenance of organized financial records and comprehending journal entries.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A minimum of 1 year of professional work experience.
